Hey you guys, in this post I’ll be sharing reasons you should consider adding SEA BUCKTHORN OIL to your skin care routine especially if you suffer with sensitive or problematic skin.

Being a lover of Ayurvedic remedies, I came across the benefits of sea buckthorn while doing my usual random research. After my first use, my skin can’t get enough. This not so much talked of oil, proves to be very beneficial and useful to my skin due to its amazing healing, rejuvenating and regenerating properties.

WHAT IS SEA BUCTHORN OIL
Sea buckthorn oil is a powerful anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial, which helps reduce inflammation and redness. Not to get technical, there are two types, Sea buckthorn seed oil and Sea buckthorn fruit oil. Difference is mainly the fatty acids composition off both oils. The seed oil, extracted from the seed has a pale yellow color whereas the fruit oil is sourced from the fruit pulps with a dark orange color.
It is rich in nutrients, vitamins and omega fatty acids (omega 3, 6, 7 and 9) which aids with the skins collagen. Collagen is actually great for adding elasticity into the skin, allowing that healthy and youthful feel and appearance😉.
It’s also great for controlling dandruff and other flaking skin issues by providing deep moisture and improving the strength of the skin cells.
The two sea buckthorn products I use and would recommend are:
THE ORDINARY 100% ORGANIC VIRGIN SEA-BUCKTHORN FRUIT OIL
This is actually the most costly product I’ve purchased from this company thus far, it retails for $21.90USD and is so worth it. Boi I love how my skin sucks this up (which is rear for my skin and oils) especially after being exfoliated. Not to mention the hydration it provides.
It does leave an orange residue which comes from the carotenoids (organic pigment produced by the fruit itself), so be careful with stains especially whites, but I guaranty, you’ll wake with that bronzish glow, my my….yasss hunty, I’m here for it.
I use this on a nightly bases, it definitely aids in soothing my skin and removing my spots without irritation. A little goes a long way, believe me. PS – I tend to be a cheap skate at times, running out of this product isn’t and option.
A’PIEU- MY SKIN-FIT SEA BUCKTHORN SHEET MASK
Purchased a number of these individual packs from SOKO GLAM @ $3USD per sheet. Like the oil, these sheets doesn’t disappoint. I apply this sheet once a week after a great exfoliation, I add my toner to balance my skins PH then apply my sheet, leave on for 15-20 minutes, enjoy my chilled, calming moment and proceed with my routine. This package contain so much extra essence which I love, it allows me to get enough for my neck. Essence is great in adding hydration and allowing the rest of your skin care products to be effective.
