Is it just me? But I get an extra ray of confidence when I wear sunscreen… It’s like I can weather the sun 😉.
🤦♀️ Get it🤔 Just thought I’d play on words here. Hope my little humor made you laugh🤪 Sunscreen is a vital part of your skin care process. As someone with sensitive problematic skin, it tend to get a bit tricky for me as I constantly have to ensure of the ingredients I put on my skin especially my face. Choosing a sunscreen makes my job even harder, as most irritate and break me out.
Living in the Caribbean, means I constantly deal with the sun 90something % of the time, so it’s very important I protect my skin during my daily activities. Note, regardless of the weather changes you’re adapting to (rain, sun, snow, winter etc), you should be wearing sunscreen to protect from any form of sun light interaction, even if you think you’re not in direct contact with the sun.
Lets talk “sunscreen”
Regardless of your complexion, age or gender, everyone should be applying sunblock on a daily basis. Sunblock protects the skin from the sun’s ultra violent rays which comes in two forms (UVA and UVB rays).

SPF 50+ / PA+++
When I got in K beauty my previous sunblock ran out, so, since I was in the process of buying skin care I decided to give this sunblock a try.
Boy oh boy was that a great choice. Normally I would use two different sunblocks for my face and the rest of my body. But this right here doesn’t feel like sunblock at all. Having sensitive problematic skin, I’m alway searching for a sun protectant that wouldn’t break me out or clog my pores. I believe one of the causes for the breakouts may be the thickness of most sunscreens which tend to clog the pores. But hunny childddd, the consistency of this cream is far from thick which allows my skin to breath and it dries matte which is great for my oily skin…..could you believe. This is actually made for sensitive skin, so it didn’t irritate or break me out. I also love the fact its a dust and pollution protectant which prevents any sort of dust particles from entering the skin. Oh yea…..
Before being introduced to K beauty I was only aware of SPF, but now I’m aware of the importance of both SPF and PA. When choosing a sunscreen, it’s important you choice one which contains both SPF and PA. SPF protects against UVB rays whilst PA protects against UVA rays.
I can’t speak of sunscreen without adding how hard it is to get a sun protectant that wouldn’t play you with that whitish blueish cast….🤕 the struggles.
First usage, it gave me a slight blueish hue, but nothing like my past sunscreens did, so I was still contented with the outcome. However, I’ve come to realize, slathering sunscreen at once doesn’t mean more protection 🌞. I currently use in moderation, must say, that blueish cast is no where to be found hunnty. Oh……it does apply with a blueish cast, but it goes away, when the product absorbs which it does pretty fast.
It does have a prolonged scent to it, somewhat like the POND’S cream 🤔.
